What is EconIndx?
EconIndx is a curated directory of global economic data sources — institutions, APIs, and databases used by data engineers, analysts, and researchers building economic data pipelines. Each source includes access details, format information, and ETL notes.
How often is the data updated?
Source listings are reviewed and updated regularly. The directory reflects current access models and API details — if you spot something outdated, email us and we'll fix it quickly.
Can I suggest a data source?
Yes — we're always looking to expand the directory with high-quality sources. Email us with the source name, URL, and a brief description of what data it covers. We evaluate submissions based on reliability, coverage, and usefulness for practitioners.
Is EconIndx free to use?
Yes, completely free. EconIndx is a public resource with no paywalls, no accounts required, and no tracking beyond standard web analytics.
The pricing or access info for a source looks wrong — what should I do?
Data provider pricing and access policies change frequently. If you notice an error, email us with the correction. We aim to keep access details accurate but appreciate heads-ups from the community.
Can I use EconIndx data in my own project?
The directory itself is freely referenceable. The underlying data in each source listing is subject to the terms of those individual providers — always check the access terms for any data source before building a pipeline on top of it.
